Click on the Firefox menu, represented by three horizontal lines and located in the upper right-hand corner of the browser window. When the drop-down menu appears, click on Options.
Firefox's Options dialog should now be displayed. Click on the Privacy icon, located at the top of the window. Click on the clear your recent history link, found in the History section. The Clear All History dialog should now be visible, overlaying your browser window. However, all this stored data can have its downsides. There are multiple reasons why you might want to remove your web browsing history.
The most common is for privacy. By removing your browser history, you can protect yourself from invasive eyes on a public or shared computer.
